it has been a month and I'm an awful blogger I admit but hey It is hard to find time blah blah blah I'm actually too lazy!! hahahah

so whats been happening??
well Aaron is now 9 months old, crawling and climbing on everything, Xmas is just a few days away and
I cant wait hahah
have all his pressies hidden upstairs to be put out on Xmas eve, not that he will really understand whats happening, its more for me I think. not a massive Xmas lover but this year is different, having a baby really does change you in every way
we got some professional shots taken of Aaron and they are fab, my favourite is the snowman one

8 Months old, teeth and singing

hi all, yes its been a while since I blogged, where have ya heard that before?
but I have been seriously up to my eyeballs with stuff

1. Rehearsing Sweeney Todd - show in March
2. Rehearsing a concert - just on last Sunday
3. teething baby
4. crappy weather

okay that's my list!

so lets hit up on the points,
1 is Sweeney Todd, as you do or don't know I'm in a musical society and we are currently rehearsing our show Sweeney Todd on in March,
point 2 is the concert. 5 musical society's in the local areas have got together and put on a mega concert, it was on last Sunday and went fantastically

point 3 Aaron is in full teething swing, he has 3 new top teeth and a 4th on the way, he has been a little Star, not a huge amount of fussing despite being in some pain, poor baby. as a result of his sore gums he isn't sleeping well which means I'm not sleeping, so any nap he takes I take one too

cant believe my little man is 8 months old, its just flying by
finally point 4, the weather has being horrible in Ireland the last few weeks, and its seriously un-inspiring!! so that's my excuse, hahahah

till next month!! haha
I will try update as soon as I have a free evening but its just chaos right now

7 Months Old

so we have a very busy few days!
Me and hubby celabrated 2 years married, I had my 29th birthday on Sept 28th aaaaaaaaannnd....

AARON SAID HIS FIRST WORD!!

 he said MOMMMA!
I was so excited, Ilove my little man, and what made it even more speacil he said it on my birthday, best pressie ever.
he also rolled from his belly to back and back to belly, and he has also started stepping when you hold him in stand. he is flying along
we went to the park on wednesday whrn it was sunny and i got some great pictures of us all together.

2 year anniversary

this day 2 years ago my self and Lee joined as one, we bacame Husband and Wife
it was a wonderful day and the sun actually broke thru in time for photographs.

 Ill never forget his day, its is one of my favorites after Aarons Birth of course.

through this app I have made some fab fellow mommas, with children from all ages, and from all over the world.
today I heard a tragic story of one little boy named Ethan, who was sadly killed in a car accident, he was only 6. his momma was an IG user. I wasnt following her but still her story is one that brought tears to my eyes.

New house, New Beginnings

So finally we are in our new house, been waiting for our internet to be reconnected so thats why I had no updates.
so being here 2 weesk and I love it, more space, more storage, more fun hehe!!
and finally Aaron has a nursery, all blue and cute, here is a picture

 we have a changing area, storage for nappies, wipes and so on, a wardrope and cute pictures all over the wall, I could spend all day in there.just need to hang the height meter and all done. its a real room for a baby, before he just slept in his cot in the spare room! not a cute cosy room like this.

speaking of Aaron he has hit the big old 6 month mark, amd I was so happy to find my favorite babygro from when he was newborn in size 6-9months, here he is modelling

some differenece eh! its so cute and colorful, and the newborn one looks so tiny next to him, cant believe he used to fit in it.
so thats mut little update for now, I will post pics of the new house soon as I get the time, back to musical rehersals on monday then i will be reeaaly busy, till next time

Mini Update -Toothing!!

time for an update I think, its been a week or two!!

so whats being going on since I last posted?? well

Aaron has a tooth and another pushing through, its still very tiny and hard to get a picture of it but see if you can make it out

he is in fairly good humor with it, but he can be a little grumpy.
poor little guy, with I could grow them for him, but despite it all he still smiles

 my favorite guy.

he loves rusks, carrots, bananas and strawberry puree, so today I thought I would try him with a fresh strawberry

My top 5 baby Items

hey gang, hows it been?
for me its been the usual.....busy busy!!
went shopping for my sisters wedding shoes on Tuesday and also put a deposit on a new house.
3 bedrooms and a nice garden, but more on that in another post, not moving for a month or so

I was asked by a pal what my 5 most essential baby items are, what I cant live without and I thought it would make a good blog post so here we go......

its totally adjustable to and really compact to bring anywhere

okay so it looks like a potty, but it is brilliant
helps baby strenghten his back and neck while he is fully supported


it also has a try on front, I use mine to feed Aaron his dinner and its also portable cos its super light.
easy to clean and is super duper soft

This soothing syrup which is available in all chemists in Ireland is magic in a bottle
it taste super yummy, but has no sugar or alcohol


it soothes baby, the flavor snaps them out of a crying fit and usually puts them asleep, perfect for sleep fighters like my baba

I used this on my tummy everyday of my pregnancy and i swear it helped my stretch marks


I have very minimal ones


it smells amazing and had and makes your skin feel like silk, good for people with dry skin too

dummy clips are a great invention, many a times I have been walking Aaron in his pram and he spits his soother out only to land on the dirty ground

the dummy clip holds the soother in place, either on his bib or shirt so if he spits it out , it goes nowhere!

Busy Busy

so today was an interesting day

started of me waking up at 11 to find hubby had got up and fed Aaron, letting me have a little sleep, he is so good
I then got a text from my sister saying she was going wedding shoe shopping with my mum and Sarah her other bridesmaid, that was fine so I text my dad to see if he could sit with Aaron till we got back and as usual he was more than happy to.
that was fine, all sorted, so I started to get Aaron ready for his day with his grand-dad.
then it happened..............

*phone rings* hello Gail, its dad!

I fell and hurt my shoulder, I need to go to the doctor, it hurts so bad, sorry I cant mind Aaron

I assured him it was okay and told him if he needed a lift i would gladly help, so I ring my sister and tell her the news.
10 mins later dad calls back, and he is going to Drogheda hospital, for x-rays, the doctor thinks its dislocated. and 'I'm going in an ambulance'
oh crap! I thought.
a few hours pass and I text him with the news that i found a little tooth lump in Aaron's gums!
he rings me back to tell me its a broken collarbone!

I broke mine when I 8 and yes, it hurts like a bitch

what a day.
in between that Aaron slept for 30 mins all day (2x15min naps) his gums are sore, and i think i found a wee tooth starting to break thru!!
he is currently out for the count, and I may join him, so tired....

Sad Day :-(

Paul and Orla, my heart goes out to you both today, to hear the sad loss of your baby has filled me with such grief. its a cruel thing, given the gift of a baby and haven it taken away from you so close to meeting him
It must be the most heartbreaking thing to have to go through, just know that we are all thinking of you during this hard time

20 weeks Post Pregnancy

My little baby boy Aaron is 20 weeks old, I cant believe it

I know I say it in every post but seriously I cant seem to see time fly by, everyday is rolling into one I guess thats what little sleep does to ya! mind you he slept great last night
went to bed at 9.30pm, woke at 1am and back to sleep at 1.30 till 5am, them 5.30am till 10.30am!
I feel like a new woman

an he is asleep right now too , he looks so sweet when he sleeps, I love this little guy

I was very inspired to show you my tummy after finding this website

So here is my belly at 20 weeks post c section, and I dont think it looks too bad

my scar is soooo itchy sometimes but it is fading to a lovely pink, and my stretch marks are realy faded too
I havent been using anything on them, supoose I should

sideways, ignore my jammies!!! hahah im fairly flat, compared to what I was before he was born!! just have a little pouch, I did have a 10lb bubba in there!!

a bit of working out and toning will sort it out.
my new mission, get fit for my sisters wedding in May

Update! (at last)

I know I  know, Im a rotten blogger, havent blogged in 4 months. Ooops! I have been busy
so here is the update!

Aaron is now 4 months and 2 weeks old, weighing a huge 19 lbs 7 oz and measuring 28inchs, he is going to be a tall boy

he is sleeping pretty good at night which means im not going around like a zombie anymore hahah.
but I think his teeth are starting to come in/!!!
uuh oh!!

he is a happy baby all the same, always has a smile for me and his daddy, which melts my heart.
we are hoping to move house soon, as our 2 bed town house is getting crammed full of baby stuff,. keep ya posted on that.

2 Months old
he got his 1st set of jabs after his BCG and we christened him

My sister is his godmother and hubbys brother is his godfather

had a great day, and he was wrecked after it.

3 months old

we had a check up with his health nurse and she was very impressed wit him

his weight was 17.4lbs at the time and he was 26 inches long, comparable to a 6 mothe baby

thats my big man, so proud of him

4 months old

got a second set of jabs done and he was very brave, cried for a minute or two then fell asleep

started eating big boy food, and loves carrots and bananans, but not together!

his legs are getting strong, and he can practically stand, with me holding him of course, and he can almost sit up on his own.

he was 18.6lbs and 26inchs long

so thats my little guy, cant believe how fast time is going, he is almost 5 months old, holt s**t!!

going to sign off for today, but i will update sooner next time, i will leave you with me fav picture of Aaron taken yeasterday

Aaron is here

Wow! I have not blogged in weeks! I'm a terrible blogger! Last time I wrote anything here was when I was 37 weeks pregnant! That's almost 7 weeks ago, holy crap.
So let's play catch up......

Baby is here, finally you say!
I had a big bruiser of a baby on March 1st 2011 weighing 10lb 4oz!!
He arrived after a 3 day slow labour. I went 2 weeks over and wad going to be induced, on the Monday I was due for induction I was my 3rd day of slow labour, my appointment was for 4pm that day but the contraction were coming 5 mins apart.

Went to the hospital at 11am, Got checked out and no dilation, but they kept me in. Got the induction gel at 4pm and again at 10pm, the fist lot made the contractions much stronger and the second application made then very intense. By that time my poor hubby had gone to a B&B for sleep and got called back at 2pm because I had got to 6cm dilated and wad being moved to the labour ward

He arrives,with bags and all, as I'm in agony, I ask for the epidural, and they try to break my waters.
But when they checked babies heartbeat it is not regulating after each contraction and they decide a C-section is the best way out.
Everything was going so fast, next thing I know I'm waking up, looking down and seeing my feet again, a doctor us telling me congratulations. And I get wheeled down to post natal wards . As I get there I see husband holding our little baby and he had tears in his eyes. "Meet you baby boy" he tells me as he hands him over to me. I fell in love instantly. We decided ti call him Aaron. He is my little prince.

So that's my birthing story, and how my little man finally arrived into the world. Can't believe he is 5 weeks old now, how time flys.

3 weeks till the big day

yeah I know, Montly blog update! lol, Worst blogger ever,
well I will have ya know I have been very busy since the beginning of the year, getting the room ready for baba, got nearly all our stuff we need. I hit 37 weeks today! FULL TERM ! woohooo

  Our familys have been amazing, picking up the most fab gifts for us. got a fab cot from lees pareants, wonderful pushcahir from my mum, travel cot from Sis and a bouncer from Bro, it has wittle crabs on it.

I love you all so much

Been to a lot of doctor appointments, getting baby checked out, and so far everything is great.
his or her little head is down, so the only way is out!

Heart-beat is very strong according to the doctor! always a great sign

19 inchs, the lenght of a piece os swiss chard (whatever the hell that is)

But out little spud is growing up, getting big and kicking me like a pro footballer!

My bump is getting soooooooooo big
sleeping now is a pain, cant get my ass comfy, and when I finally do I need to get up to use the loo, and then the tossing and turning start all over.


but I know its not for much longer, 3 weeks left.
one midwife said to me

'the lack of sleep is a way for your body to get used to no sleep when baby is born'

its going to be worth it all in the end. cant wait to meet you
